Simplified Images

The short version

Simplified Images is built on a simple principle: your photos are yours. Nothing you watermark or convert in Simplified Images is ever uploaded to our servers, stored on our systems, or seen by us. Everything runs inside your browser, on your own device.

How your photos are handled

The photos and watermark files you add are decoded, composited, and encoded by your browser. They are never transmitted to our servers.

Outputs are re-encoded by the browser's canvas, which removes EXIF, GPS, IPTC, and XMP metadata. This is intentional: location data does not leave with your files.

Because outputs are re-encoded, JPEG and WebP files are not bit-identical to their originals, and camera color profiles may be simplified.

Only tool settings (never photos or watermark files) are stored, in this browser's IndexedDB. They are not synced across devices. Clearing site data removes them.

What we do collect

Website usage and infrastructure data are separate from the images you process in the tool.

•Website requests — hosting infrastructure receives request information such as IP address, request path, and browser information when serving the website.
•Error logs — technical errors may be logged to diagnose problems with the website. Filenames and image contents are never logged.
•Optional usage analytics — if enabled, anonymous counts of tool starts and downloads are collected without filenames, image content, or session recording.
•Optional support — Buy Me a Coffee handles optional contributions on its own website under its privacy policy. No payment is needed to use this tool.

No account or email address is required to watermark or convert images.

Cookies

Browser storage saves preferences (language, tool settings). You can remove these through your browser site-data settings. No account is needed to use the tools.

Third-party services

•Website hosting — infrastructure providers process web requests, including IP address, path, and timestamp, to deliver and protect the website.
•Buy Me a Coffee — if you follow the support link, that service handles your visit and any contribution under its own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when it was last changed. We will never make changes that compromise the core privacy principle: your photos are yours and they never leave your device.
